OVERVIEW:

SoftWorthy is seeking a Software Developer to join the team, and assist in developing immersive and interactive environments for game-based projects. The individual should have knowledge of game development technology processes and procedures to complete assignments with originality and ingenuity.

OPPORTUNITY:

This position is for a professional with software application development experience, who is also able to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and tools. The primary project would focus on implementing a simulator that employs 'serious gaming' techniques to introduce scientific / technical concepts within the context of a real-time, virtual environment. The technology would deliver a combination of mathematical models, a robust physics-engine, high-resolution graphical representations, and interactive control, in conjunction with high-quality multimedia visualization techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work independently to prototype, develop and implement features for custom immersive game experiences.

Write optimized, scalable and well-documented code.

Test, evaluate and debug code.

Provide technical solutions to problems encountered by the team on the project.

Help document workflows for game visualization, and simulated reality experiences.

Work in a team environment, communicate updates, participate in discussions and research the best approach per project.

Research new tools and stay abreast of latest developments in the visualization and game industry.

Conduct training and share knowledge with a group of designers and immersive technology professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent C++ skills and proficiency in technologies such as Ogre3D, Unity, Unreal Engine, WinAPI, wxWidgets, Qt.

Typically 2+ years of experience in the gaming/visualization industry with at least 1 year of development experience.

Proven ability to create immersive environments, program game mechanics, integrate assets and use rendering and physics systems.

Accredited professional degree in Engineering, Computer Graphics, Animation or related field preferred.

Strong knowledge of real-time 3D, smiulated reality, virtual reality, augmented reality, or mixed reality devices and applications.

Strong knowledge of memory optimization techniques.

Strong knowledge of version control tools.

Ability to write clean, maintainable and extensible code with attention to reusability.

Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing.

Ability to travel if required.

BASE SALARY:

$6K - $7K monthly

Factors that may be used to determine actual salary may include experience, education, specialty, and training.

The business strategy intern will gain hands-on experience working on projects focused on engineering analysis softwares, in a business environment.

OPPORTUNITY:

This position is for a business analyst familiar with engineering softwares. The intern will support the product development, engineering, and business strategy teams by researching use cases for advanced analytics in various industry applications, and will be an essential part of the business strategy efforts, taking ownership of performing market analysis for innovative software platforms. The intern will collaborate with like-minded people in an environment that embraces individual differences and rewards one's best work, and will have many opportunities to expand responsibilities, based on performance and expertise. The intern will also be encouraged to attend premier industry events, and receive suitable professional training under the supervision of a senior team member.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with product development, engineering, and business strategy teams to provide cross-department solutions.

Formulate and deliver responses to customer needs and inquiries as needed.

Assist teams through daily operations and special projects. Perform other necessary functions as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Completed or currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Business, with a strong interest in technology.

Strong communication skills both written and verbally.

Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables.

On-site or Remote. 20 hours/week for minimum 8 weeks.
